MCN takes on recent generational discussions
Between the pit and we’ve had some interesting conversations on Boomers, Xers, and Millennials of late. Now Cody Barstow of the Mojo City News has taken up the issue, and offers this thoughtful commentary on generational dynamics at the present time.
Worth a read, to be sure…

Reading the whole article, there seems to be a basic misunderstanding of what teh problems are. The problem with the new generation (whatever the hell you wanna call it) is not some inherent sense of entitlement, its the ASSUMPTION by other generations that there exists in them some notion that everything is supposed to be handed to them. Nobody seems to want to be the ones to own up ot the fact that maybe, just maybe, with a little belief in them, instead of the usual contempt for them, from the generations that came before, things CAN change. A generation can be every bit as much a victim to entrenched power of the generation that came before as to supposed apathy of their own.
