I once went to a Promise Keepers rally to see what the whole thing was about. I could write for days about my impressions, but suffice it to say, it was boring.

I think in another world they’d just strike me as one more organization that was missing the boat. As it is, I was at the U of Colorado when Bill McCartney was taking every opportunity to embarrass us, so I probably bring a bit of extra venom to my take on anything he has anything to do with.
Those first PK meetings didn’t build any strong PR in the community, either – when attendees wander around the neighborhood relieving themselves in people’s yards, it’s going to rub some the wrong way.
