I went to the Denver Parade of Lights Friday night and…it was an odd show. Like this – is the clown trying to creep me out, or does she lack some sort of essential clown self-awareness?

Then there’s Mr. Bear. Parades are for entertaining children of all ages. Would you let this guy near your children? He may be harmless enough, but there’s a little too much…earnestness?…in this pose to suit me.

Then there’s the silliness. This is, technically speaking, a terrible shot. But it caused me to say “hey, are they rebooting Tron as a Western?” Which I thought was funny, anyway.

Finally, you think McKayla Maroney was unimpressed? This cute little gir had her burger, she had her toy, but remained very skeptical about this whole parade thing.

Again, apologies for the quality of this last one. I’m still learning how to shoot at night and I didn’t do her justice at all.
