10-second beer review: Laurelwood Brewing Pumpkin Ale
Maybe I’m biased, but I’ve always felt like holiday brews should be bold, audacious even. Laurelwood’s seasonal pumpkin strikes a lovely note body-wise – it’s a nicely balanced amber that’s very “drinkable” (although I hate that term). Still, for my money the spice palette is a tad less assertive than I’d prefer.
All this said, I like my beers to be a boot to the teeth, and if you prefer a bit more subtlety this one might be right up your alley. B
