I know were all happy to see Trump and his top consiglieres booked last week, and the mug shots were especially validating for everyone who suffered through the Orange Blight.

As much as I’m a fan of these indictments, though, I don’t like the aesthetics. This format is clean and lacking in inherent judginess. The lighting sucks, to be sure, but the subjects are allowed to maintain a semblance of dignity.

I’m a fan of old-school mugs. Direct shot and profile. The little felt board. Preferably black & white and a bit gritty. The booked look like they spent the night in Hell, not like they just finished 18 at Mar-a-Lago.

Ah well. Call me old-fashioned, but I hate to see treasonous, fascist motherfuckers sitting for glamour shots.
