Freedom & Prosperity Framework

FPF

These are some things many people believe:

  • Lobbying should be transparent and free from financial influence.
  • Elections shouldn’t be influenced by corporate or private wealth.
  • Each person’s vote should carry equal weight.
  • Electoral rules should protect majority democratic legitimacy while safeguarding fundamental rights.
  • Government should assure fair competition.
  • State actions shouldn’t undermine equal rights.
  • Hate speech shouldn’t hide behind the first amendment.
  • All people are entitled to equal legal rights and protections.
  • Government should remain independent from religious influence.
  • Individuals have a fundamental right to personal autonomy and private life free from unjustified interference. This includes autonomy over how their personal data and digital identity are collected and used.
  • Essential human needs, like housing, food, healthcare, and education, should not be reliant on profit-driven systems.
  • Corporations shouldn’t restrict freedom of speech.
  • The press has a responsibility to be truthful.
  • Workers have the right to organize and bargain collectively without interference.
  • Corporations should serve the public interest.

If these ideas make sense to you, as well, I hope you’ll download and read the FPF. It doesn’t solve everything, but I think it’s a first step in the right direction.
