Freedom & Prosperity Framework

These are some things many people believe:
- Lobbying should be transparent and free from financial influence.
- Elections shouldn’t be influenced by corporate or private wealth.
- Each person’s vote should carry equal weight.
- Electoral rules should protect majority democratic legitimacy while safeguarding fundamental rights.
- Government should assure fair competition.
- State actions shouldn’t undermine equal rights.
- Hate speech shouldn’t hide behind the first amendment.
- All people are entitled to equal legal rights and protections.
- Government should remain independent from religious influence.
- Individuals have a fundamental right to personal autonomy and private life free from unjustified interference. This includes autonomy over how their personal data and digital identity are collected and used.
- Essential human needs, like housing, food, healthcare, and education, should not be reliant on profit-driven systems.
- Corporations shouldn’t restrict freedom of speech.
- The press has a responsibility to be truthful.
- Workers have the right to organize and bargain collectively without interference.
- Corporations should serve the public interest.
If these ideas make sense to you, as well, I hope you’ll download and read the FPF. It doesn’t solve everything, but I think it’s a first step in the right direction.
