Is that better?

For some odd reason folks attempting to post replies to my blog entries have been faced with the challenge of composing those replies in black text on a black background (thanks to fikshun for his incessant bitching on the subject). I have no idea why this was happening – the site isn’t designed that way and it didn’t used to

The BS BCS fails again

So last night’s 55-19 thumping of Choklahoma eliminates all doubt, huh? Sez ESPN: “There will be no sharing No. 1 this year. USC made an outright statement in Tuesday night’s BCS title game…” (Story) Ummm, bullshit. What last night’s game proved was that USC is a whole lot better than OU. I have a new project I’d like some help on. I’m compiling a list of the WWW’s greatest hits. By this I’m referring to the sites, games, and outright stupidity that have periodically overrun everyone with a Net connection. Below are listed ten that come immediately to mind, but I’d like to make sure I’m not forgetting anything. So send

Christmas Flap

After my earlier “Merry Christmas” post the esteemed Dr. Harold Tedford passed along this column by Charley Reese, and I find a lot to agree with here. First: I don’t think nativity scenes belong on courthouse lawns and or other government properties. For one thing, in its usual weaselly way, the Supreme Court said that such scenes must include secular
