Powell: Intelligence suggests Iran trying to adapt missiles for nukes
I can easily believe that Iran is guilty of this and a lot more. But when I saw the headline, something in me reflexively hedged – can we believe anything Colin says at this point? Once upon a time he was walking, talking, credibility personified. Then he whored his integrity to people he knew (or HAD to suspect) were writing the conclusion chapter before the research was even completed.
I hate to say it, but Harry Belafonte was right about Colin Powell. And I may believe that Iran is looking to build nukular missiles, but if I do, it’s not because Powell says it’s so.

The problem was that Powell is a solider who follows orders no matter what. Loyalty is good, but only to a point. One wonders what history would be like if Powell, instead of simply warning the Prez that if he invades Iraq “he will own it”, instead threatened resignation over the issue (or at least did not play the administration’s willing mouth piece). In the end he demonstrated that his personal integrity is quite shallow.
