Felt it is
So much for all the earlier speculation. Apparently Woodward and Bradlee are confirming that Felt was, in fact, Deep Throat.
Of course, as Joel Achenbach notes, this is something of a let-down. There were so many more interesting candidates out there….

I really didn’t expect Deep Throat to make the news cycle. I always thought it was Haig, or even John Dean. I mean, Felt was not really on the inner circle. As a tried and true Watergate junkie, I’m a little disappointed that it was Felt.

I agree – Felt isn’t the sexiest of choices. Still, it’s a huge news item. This has been one of the biggest mysteries of our time.
It’s right up there with who shot JFK.
I have my opinions on that one also……I think LBJ was in on it.
