LP: Mr. Commissioner, Major League Baseball today named New York Yankees’ First Baseman/DH Jason Giambi as the American League Comeback Player of the Year for his courageous efforts to “come back” from a crippling case of self-inflicted ‘roid poisoning. In light of the league’s apparent new “reward the miscreant” policy, have you set a date for the reinstatement of Pete Rose, and if so, have you begun developing an appropriate comeback award for him?
