Sam joins IABC Branding blog

I’m always looking for new ways of overextending myself, and have recently found another one. I’m now writing for the IABC’s branding blog (that’s International Association of Business Communicators).

I’ve occasionally hit on business issues in my past blogging activities, but this is a little different audience. They don’t know it yet, but I’ll be using the soapbox to promote mobility marketing, and if a reader sees a need for this kind of service in his or her own company, I feel confident I can help that company find a suitable mobility consulting partner.

Always an agenda, huh?

Anyway, check it out, and I’d be grateful if you’d help me evangelize it a bit.

  • Hey, Sam is WAY past just signing the declaration.

  • That’s a great first post. I’ll be using it to talk to freshmen about learning to look beyond their own self-interest — if they truly want to act in their best interest.
    Nice job.

  • Thanks. I think one of the scariest things is that I wouldn’t have been able to grasp the value of what I say here back then, even if you laid it out for me. I grew up so working class, so removed from any kind of business-savvy cultural context, that it would have been Greek to me.
