Once upon a time Keith Olbermann was one of my favorite sports guys. Watched him every night.

When he moved to MSNBC, I was skeptical, as you’d imagine. Anybody who reads me at all knows I’m not a huge fan of hiring entertainers to handle the news.

I had no idea that he was about to become the new Edward R. Murrow.

How the hell CBS calls Katie Couric instead of this guy I’ll never know, but watch this and marvel and what journalism can and ought to be. If everybody in the 4th Estate were this committed to the truth we’d live in a different world.
