NCAA Coach of the Year
I know it’s still early and a lot can happen, good and bad. But don’t you think Jim Grobe ought to get some love come Coach of the Year time? Wake’s schedule has been light, yes, but with the exception of the meltdown vs. Clemson they have stepped it up and executed when they had to all year. And by the way, they’ve done it with a redshirt freshman at QB and I think they’re down to like their 8th-string running back. They guy they lined up with at TB last night, Kenny Moore, is a wide receiver who hadn’t even practiced at RB until this week. And somehow they still managed to beat a fairly decent BC team.
It’s not often that Wake Forest wins eight freakin’ games. Heck, back during the Deacon Blues days eight wins was about what you could count on in seven seasons. The only real question remaining is whether the basketball team can win eight this year…

Changing the subject,I caught the Notre Dame/UNC game yesterday. I really thought UNC had a chance, at least I was hoping……….

This makes me sick, and makes me long for 1995 when we won the Big 10 and went to the Rose Bowl. At least we’re ahead of the Fighting Illini.
