Another bust in the pantheon

Unfortunately, I had Good Morning America on this morning (until the Dish Network guys come and hook us up in the new place tomorrow I have a couple network feeds and that’s it). They come out of a break to the strains of Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind,” which used to be one of rock’s truly great songs.

Then they start talking, something to the effect of “that’s ‘Candle in the Wind,’ a song that’s come to symbolize iconic beauties who died too soon. Marilyn Monroe. Princess Diana. And now Anna Nicole Smith.”

Goodbye Norma Jean…
