Update on Rolling Stone and the Bible ad

About Rolling Stone’s refusal to run that Bible ad – I spoke too soon. Thanks to karlchristian for pointing me at the, ummm, clarification?

“We have addressed the internal miscommunications that led to the previous misstatement of company policy and apologize for any confusion it may have caused,” Lisa Dallos, spokeswoman for Wenner Media, Rolling Stone’s parent company, said Monday. She declined to elaborate.

I should have known. Seriously, anybody that can treat Limp Bizkit like they were the Beatles reincarnated will, eventually, find their way to the decision with the most digits between the decimal and dollar sign.

Please don’t construe my yarping as a comment one way or another on the propriety of running the ad or not. Another issue altogether, and I don’t care, frankly. No, this is exclusively about how RS conducts bidniss.
