Dear CU Community:

I am writing to tell you that I have approved a revised Administrative Policy Statement (APS) on Conflict of Interest in Cases of Amorous Relationships. After issuing a new APS on -Sexual Harassment Policy and Procedures- on July 1, 2003, I asked for a review of the related policy, -University Policy on Amorous Relationships Involving Evaluative Authority.- A system-wide committee comprised of faculty, students, and staff worked for more than a year to study this issue and propose improvements to the existing policy. This revised APS was considered and supported by Faculty Council, the University of Colorado Staff Council, and the Intercampus Student Forum.
