Odom Close to Taking Virginia Job

ST. LOUIS, April 3 — Virginia Athletic Director Craig Littlepage has offered the school’s head coaching vacancy to South Carolina Coach Dave Odom, whom two sources said Sunday night was poised to accept the job.

Wow – the King of the NIT is coming to Hooville.

• Speaking as a guy who thinks Wake already has all the competition it needs, let me just say how glad I am to see this move by UVa.
• Speaking as a guy who feels like the Cavs have suffered enough, let me say how sad I am to see this move by UVa.
• Speaking as an objective basketball fan, this ought to sew up UVa’s claim to being the second best hoops program in the state.
