Connecticut primary: can we just go ahead and let the SC decide it now?
Oh joy.
Lieberman and Lamont Camps Bicker Over Web Site Crash
By PATRICK HEALY and JENNIFER MEDINA
Published: August 8, 2006The final hours of the primary campaign between Senator Joseph I. Lieberman and his challenger, Ned Lamont, were consumed by an angry dispute over assertions that Lamont supporters had crashed the Lieberman campaign Web site and disrupted its internal communications network.
…
Mr. Lieberman’s campaign manager, Sean Smith, said the online blackout was tantamount to voter suppression, because it disabled e-mail and left aides without a tool to communicate with tens of thousands of supporters on primary day.Mr. Smith said the campaign would file a formal complaint asking state and federal legal authorities to investigate. Another adviser, Dan Gerstein, said that as of this evening there were no plans to challenge the results of the primary on the basis of a voter suppression charge. (Story.)

Circle of Irony
How awesomely sick would it be if Lieberman contested the vote and took it to court? Like Anakin before him, the padawan has learned all the wrong lessons from the master.
The more I heard about that “hack,” the more disgusted I became. Not only at the shoddily obvious attempt at fraud, but at how easily all the mainstream reporters bought it.

Dear Joe,
Have you exceded your bandwidth? Have you gone with a cheapass hosting site?
“suspended” error coming from myhostcamp.com?
You only have yourself to blame.

So Joe, are you trying to tell us that valuable information that would have been on that site is what cost you the primary? Yeah, it’s tacky to launch such an attack, and it’s more than a little odd that the first casualty of the Republican nightmare is a Democrat. But whatever. One spineless career politian down, how many more to go?
