Faced with new allegations against President Trump and administration stonewalling, Democrats have ended months of caution.

I understand Pelosi is deeply concerned with winning the political game here, and while I have very little nice to say about her it is true that McConnell is Satan incarnate. So when the Dems ponder what to do, the thinking always revolves around winning.

Winning is great. You can’t accomplish anything if the other side wins.

But the fact winning isn’t directly tied to doing what’s right for the country is … distressing. This is as nasty an indictment of our system as I can think of this early in the morning.
